Rob Romero
Portfolio Manager

Rob Romero has 30 years of investment research, and technology marketing, and engineering experience. Since 2004, Mr. Romero has served as CEO and Portfolio Manager of Connective Capital Management, investing in a hedge portfolio of high growth technology, biotech, and emerging energy companies. His professional experience also includes leading product management at Netsys, acquired by Cisco, co-founder of eVoice, sold to AOL in 2001, and founder of Connective Capital Ventures. Mr Romero is co-founder of Civic Health Project, an anti-polarization initiative. Mr. Romero holds a BS EE, a BA Economics, and an MS Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University.

Thomas K.Y. Hor
Co-Portfolio Manager

Thomas K. Y. Hor is the Co-Portfolio Manager covering multiple sectors from renewable energy to technology. Thomas brings over ten years of experience in investing and operations. He was an Analyst/Portfolio Manager at Natura Capital, Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley and Business Development Manager at AMD/Spansion (now Cypress Semiconductor). In addition, Thomas has held engineering positions at PMC-Sierra. Thomas holds a BASc in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia; an MASc in Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University; and an MBA from London Business School.

Tao Long
Portfolio Manager, Systemic Strategy | Head of Operations | Compliance Officer

Tao Long is the Portfolio Manager for Systematic Strategies and Head of Operations. Additionally he holds Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) role leading compliance and regulatory efforts. Tao brings over a decade of experience in equity research, investing and systematic analysis and construction of portfolios, and over a decade of semiconductor industry experience. Prior to Connective Capital Management, Tao was deeply involved in data encryption, wireless communications and network infrastructure markets at Broadcom and Infineon. Tao holds a BS with honors in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Tao is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
